InReach
Garmin inReach Mini is ideal for contacting family and friends when you’re out of cell phone range. It can also send your contacts a tracking map so they can follow your travels each day.
Garmin 66I offers even greater functionality, including full NZ topo maps, trackback and GoTo for full navigation, and all other standard Garmin GPSMAP features.
ACR PLB 400 is a fantastic device if you want to remain off-grid but have a backup plan should something go wrong during your adventures. Nice and compact, it comes in its pouch and can be set off one-handed.
Need a 2-way radio and GPS mapping? How about both in one device? You can also track your tramping or hunting mates on screen if they all use a Garmin Rino and are within range. It is ideal for groups who wander in different directions.
You need radios to talk to your adventure mates, either out hunting, tramping, or just for an event where radios would be faster than a cell phone.
These ICOM 41 PRO are great radios and use the public access UHF- CB or PRS (Public Radio Services) band, so you can likely talk to any other radios on the same band, typically the GME, Uniden type brands.
Hire time frames are based on usage times. We do allow 2 – 3 days for the courier, and in some cases, you can pick it up from our North Auckland office.
If you cannot return the device to KT Services within 2 – 3 days of use or need it earlier than your “usage” time, please advise us, and we can adjust the rental period (this may involve extra costs).
KT Services will charge a courier fee to ship the device to you. The return courier is at your cost.

*$25 admin fee will be charged per device if your trip is cancelled and you no longer need the device. If you re-book at a later date, this charge may still stand as the devices still need to be reconfigured
