Caresens Lancet has a needle that is insert-moulded in a plastic surrounding that consists of a cap and a body.

The needle is sharpened at one end to pierce the skin. Irradiation makes CareSens Lancet sterile. The removable cap protects and keeps the sharpened needle sterile and must be twisted off the device before use.

Once the cap is removed, the sterile needle is exposed. CareSens Lancet may be used in conjunction with most commercially available lacing devices. It is a sterile single-use device for capillary blood sampling.

Intended Use:
The primary use of CareSens Lancet is with a capillary blood-sampling device in order to obtain a drop of blood sample quickly with as little pain as possible.
